Steve Schaefer

Steve is the General Manager of our Austin operations. He also assists customers with sales and has been in the foodservice industry for 15 years. He previously opened a coffee house in 1993 and has worked as a store manager. He is Lone Star’s project manager for Mangia Pizza, Threadgills, Eddie V’s, Z-Tejas, Tiffany’s Treats, and numerous other establishments. He has been with Lone Star since 2005.

Denis Charbeneau

Denis joined us from Hotel & Restaurant Supply in Memphis Tennessee effective January 2008 as an inside sales person. During his employment with Hotel & Restaurant Supply he has worked with a variety of Restaurant and institutional accounts, helping customers determine which equipment would work best for their application. He has experience with independent restaurants and chain accounts such as Sonic, Ci Ci’s Pizza, Cozy Mels and others. He is a 25 year industry veteran having worked for S.E. Rykoff - John Sexton Company - Phoenix, AZ, and Watson Food Service - Dallas, TX.

Scott Dillon

Scott has 13 years in foodservice operations and 12 years in restaurant supplies sales. He handles sales for the lake area which includes Oasis, Pasta House, and Pronto Italiano. He is also project co-coordinator for Jardin Corona and The Monument Café. Scott joined Lone Star in 2004.

Idalia Garza

Idalia has worked in the Food Service Business for 4 yrs with Sysco Food Services. She has been an Outside Sales Woman for over 9yrs, and Volunteers through many Community Organizations. Fully Bilingual in both English and Spanish.

Gerrit Van Dyl

Gerrit has 20 years of restaurant and foodservice experience under his belt. He has worked in mom-and-pop, corporate and chain environments giving him a well rounded knowledge of customer expectations. While working for his last employer he helped reorganize corporate kitchens for Advanced Micro Devices, Hewlett Packard and locally headquartered companies, Dell Computer and Cirrus Logic. He has moved into sales to share his enthusiasm and knowledge of the foodservice industry with his customers. Gerrit’s focus: to provide his customers with the right solutions to their needs.

Dan Ford

Dan is our warehouse manager. He has over 10 years experience as a manger in the fast food industry and has been with Lone Star for 5 years.

John Lawson

As manager of LoneStar’s Used Equipment Division, John Lawson contributes to our unique process of refurbishing equipment through his experience in cross technologies for methods and procedures improvement. He has twenty five years of management experience in a variety of fields, including oil field drilling and coring technologies, aircraft engine rebuilding, multi-family residential infrastructure restoration, as well as general management in the service industry. His department is re-defining the processes used to remanufacture restaurant equipment while producing a new standard of quality in the finished product presented for resale.

Jay Caldwell

Jay has over forty years experience in food service management and has been instrumental in opening over one hundred restaurants. He can help guide through all phases of opening from initial plans and layout to opening day. He entered the equipment and supply field in 1999 with Sysco Foods as an equipment and smallwares specialist, later he worked for Ace Mart in the same capacity, and two years ago he joined Lone Star.

Ruddy Belo

Ruddy has spent 13 years in the airline industry working in the in-flight catering and post departure division. For the last 5 years, Ruddy has been a hospitality consultant, and has managed Clyde Bistro as well as catering. He recently moved to Austin and bring with his experience. He is very attentive to details and specializes in maximizing the usage and efficiency of space and equipment.

John Chancellor

John is the Construction Manager for Lonestar and manages our contract and design work. He has been in the foodservice industry for five years and with Lone Star since 2007.

Dallas, TX - Staff

Mark Thompson

Mark is the General Manager of our Dallas operations. He has worked in the restaurant equipment industry for 25 years. He brings extensive experience in new and used equipment, purchasing, smallwares sales, personnel development, and team leadership. Before entering the industry, Mark served as a police officer with the Fort Worth Police Department for 17 years. He holds a Bachelors degree in sociology and psychology from the criminal justice program at Texas Christian University.

Dan Yzaguirre

Dan works in the Sales Department at the Dallas Branch. He has been with Lone Star since 2008 and specializes in helping customers achieve their goals in planning and layout of new construction and existing restaurants. Prior to Lone Star Dan built and managed a sports bar in downtown Waxahachie Texas. Dan is a licensed realtor that has worked in commercial real estate with lease hold properties. This experience proves helpful for customers with start up plans for new construction and budget planning. Turnkey operations and one stop shop are more than just buzz words. Being very resourceful and networking services into packages as well as providing sales support and project management throughout process from inception to completion helps achieve customer satisfaction.

Sherri Hervey

Sherri has been in the food service equipment and supply business since 1986, where she worked at Watson’s Foodservice. Since 1996, Sherri has been a valued asset at Lonestar Rush Restaurant Supply in Dallas, Texas, where she is in inside sales. Her outgoing personality attracts many repeat customers and currently takes care of the Southwest Airlines and Bob’s Chop House accounts.

Joe Ramirez

Joe as been in foodservice in some manner since 1992. He worked in the deli and grocery divisions for a major grocery store chain. Since coming to Lonestar Rush Restaurant Supply in 2000 Joe has established himself as the lead inside salesperson within the Hispanic community. Joe speaks both English and Spanish fluently and is continually working with new upstart restaurants in the community.

Paul Henley

Paul has been a contributing influence in Restaurant Supply business in Central Texas since the early eighties. He was one of the founding employees of ABC Hotel and Restaurant Supply in the 1985 and served as the General Manager prior to starting his own Restaurant Supply Company in 1987. Paul served as the Vice President of Central Texas Restaurant Supply Company from 1987 to1990. He was also instrumental in bringing Ace Mart Restaurant Supply to Austin Texas in the early eighties and served in a management role for over 19 years. He also was a manufacturer’s representative for Scotsman Ice Machines. Paul re-joined LoneStar in the fall of 2009 and is the proud new store manager for our newest location in Temple Texas. Paul’s broad industry experience enables him to be a very valuable resource for the customers we serve. Some of the notable projects Paul has been a part of are: the Kerbey Lane Café, Magnolia Café’s, Chuy’s/Comida Deluxe as well as the Headliners Club and Baby Acapulco’s to name a few. Wayne Johnson

Wayne has been in the food service industry for over 19 years. He is a nationally recognized General Manager with Dominos Pizza having won the Rolex Challenge twice and competed in the Worlds Fastest Pizza Maker contest. He is a veteran of the US Army, Field Artillery. He also has worked as a Personal Trainer and runs half and full marathons.
